Building scenarios in science and technology in the pacific zone, Mexico

Abstract:

The educational model based on competencies that has been established in Mexico has the great success of students to develop their ideas through final projects in search of knowledge, but the error or limiting found in this model is that these projects are in the classroom, when many of them may prove to be the solution to most problems currently facing our community, so it is necessary to display and disseminate these ideas and proposals created by children and young people in the classroom. Under this wording it is that a group of teachers of Mazatlán, take the initiative to collaborate with teachers from other institutions in the country to initially bring Sinaloa an academic event where students can show their work and also find a place in national and international events represent their institution and publicize their work. This article seeks to share the experience of how a simple idea and initiative of the authors of this article went on to become one of the largest events in science and technology in the country and in Latin America.
